The Georgian Orthodox Church this week announced that it has not received any briefing related to restoration works of the floor at the main cathedral at the Kintsvisi Monastery, in the eastern part of the country – an initiative reportedly commenced by local hierarchs.

The announcement to local media was made by the Patriarchate’s head of public relations, Fr. Andreas.

He added that the Georgian Patriarchate has not been briefed over the restoration works, nor has it provided its consent.
