His Beatitude Patriarch Theophilos III, Patriarch of the Holy City of Jerusalem, accompanied by His Eminence Metropolitan Isychios, and a number of priests and local personalities. visited today, October 25, the injured victims of the terrorist attack.
In an effort to aid and provide moral and emotional support to relief the people whom suffering is unimaginable, His Beatitude and the accompanying delegation head to Prince Ali bin Al-Hussein Military Hospital and the Italian Hospital, where the injured are currently being treated, to check on their well-being following the horrendous terrorist attack which occurred on Friday and led to the martyrdom of nine innocent lives of our Orthodox flock in Karak.
His Beatitude offered prayers for them, beseeching the Lord to grant them a full recovery, health, and well-being.
The funeral which took place earlier today at noon at the same church, was led by His Beatitude our Father and Patriarch Theophilos III, members of the Brotherhood, local priests, His Beatitude Patriarch of the Latin Patriarchate and Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa, and an enormous number of people of all denominations and religions, and was broadcasted worldwide.
Following the funeral, condolences were offered by members of the Royal Hashemite Kingdom in person, where Her Royal Majesty the Queen of Jordan, Rania Al Abdullah, Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah al-Hashimi, Her Royal Highness Princess Salma bint Abdullah, and Prince Ghazi bin Muhammad all offered their condolences afterwards to His Beatitude Patriarch Theophilos III and the bereaved families.
May their memory be eternal, and may the Lord have mercy on the souls of those who lost a dear one, were injured, and suffered from the pain of witnessing and living this tragedy.
