His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America posted a message on his Facebook page after the deadly shooting at an El Paso, Texas shopping center on Saturday. Twenty people were killed and more than two dozen were injured, according to Texas and local authorities.
In particular, Archbishop Elpidophoros pointed out:
“Our hearts are in pain. I ask all the faithful to join me in lifting up our prayers for the innocent victims and their families and the El Paso, TX community in the aftermath of another senseless and horrific mass shooting.”
