The Holy Metropolis of Didymoteicho, Orestiada and Soufli, in extreme northeast Greece, this week announced the awarding of 40 scholarships to college students attending Greek universities.
The resident Metropolitan, His Eminence Damaskinos, presented the scholarships to distinguished students on Tuesday, during a festal event at the Diocese of Orestiada’s ceremonial hall.
