Another successful summer has come to a close at Ionian Village, the Summer Camping ministry of our Archdiocese. Welcoming over 300 campers this summer, Ionian Village began its programming in June with IV Next, which serves young adults, followed by Session One and Two which serves 9th-12th graders.
Participants came from all over the US, as well as Greece and Canada to attend camp this summer. Together, they embarked on new experiences where being surrounded by their peers, they were immersed in their faith and the Greek culture. All together, they visited churches, beaches, monasteries and historical sites, Greek danced, shopped and made memories that will last a lifetime!
Each session of camp was joined by different Clergy and Medical Staff along with 30 dedicated staff members who, in total, represented every Metropolis in our Archdiocese and each brought unique perspectives and experience with them. A huge thank you to all of our supporters and donors who helped to make this summer a wonderful experience for all our campers and staff!
