The last session of the Autocephalous Orthodox Church of Greece’s permanent Holy Synod for 2019 began this week in Athens, opening on Monday and continuing on Tuesday.
The session comes during the twilight of a year that was particularly noteworthy for Church-state relations in Greece, as well as for relations between Orthodox Churches around the world.
