Last week of Great & Holy Lent known as ‘Week of Palms’

The sixth and last week of the Great and Holy Lent is called the “week of Palms” for the Orthodox Church. For the faithful, the last week of Lent is considered as the “silent week”, with one explanation being the absence of the celebratory Salutations for the Holy Theotokos, the Virgin Mary.
