Monday’s great matronal feast day of the Entrance of the Theotokos into the Temple was reverently celebrated by the Church of Crete’s Metropolis of Kydonia, as the Theotokos, the All-Holy Virgin Mary, is the patroness and protector of the Cretan port city of Hania, the capital of the Metropolis.
The Metropolitan of Kissamos & Selinos, His Eminence Amphilochios, officiated at a con-celebratory Archieratical Vesper, co-officiated by the resident Metropolitan, His Eminence Damaskinos, on the eve of the feast day.
A day later, the Archbishop of Crete, His Eminence Evgenios, officiated at the archieratical services on Monday, the great feast day.
