On Tuesday, 5 May, Prince Pavlos met with His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, on the occasion of His All-Holiness’ visit to Greece.
Prince Pavlos wrote characteristically about his meeting with the Ecumenical Patriarch in a post:
“Today I had the special honour and blessing to meet our Ecumenical Patriarch, His All-Holiness Bartholomew, shortly before his appearance in Parliament for his historic address. His presence and his words are a constant source of inspiration, wisdom, and spiritual guidance, reminding us all of the importance of global dialogue, unity, and the values that unite us. In a time of challenges and uncertainty, I hold as a precious legacy the message of peace and understanding, which today more than ever we need.”
Also, the Minister of Maritime Affairs and Insular Policy of Greece, Vasilis Kikilias, met with the Ecumenical Patriarch at the Office of Representation of the Ecumenical Patriarchate in Athens.
In a post online, the Minister wrote:
“With great honour I met today with Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew. His enduring contribution to Ecumenical Hellenism and Orthodoxy, as well as his steadfast stance in favour of the values of faith, tradition, and unity, are of particular importance in a period of international challenges. Greece, with deep roots in history and Orthodoxy, consistently upholds the principles and values that shape our national identity.”
