The memory of the Panaghia Pantanassa, the Most-Holy Queen of All, the Virgin Mary, was venerated this week at the Holy and Great Monastery of Vatopedi’s estate of Porto Lagos, on Lake Vistonida.
Worshippers from the wider Thrace province of northeast Greece, as well as from other parts of the country, gathered at the Vatopedi Monastery’s lake-side ecclesiastical estate to venerate the Panaghia Pantanassa.
A procession of the Holy Relics was led by the Metropolitan of Xanthi, His Eminence Panteleimon, accompanied by the Elder Archimandrite Ephraim, the Abbot of the Holy and Great Monastery of Vatopedi, other hieromonks from the Mt. Athos Monastery, deacons and clergy from the region.
Following a Divine Liturgy, a litany of the Holy Icon of the Panaghia Pantanassa was held.
