The Metropolitan of Hios, His Eminence Markos, this week approved of the transfer of two Church properties to the regional government administration on the eastern Aegean Island, fulfilling a long-standing request by the local community.
Regional authorities announced that the resident Metropolitan had approved the transfer of the two properties in order for the latter to host a special education school and a youth sports facility.
