The Metropolitan of Corfu, Paxoi and the Diapontian Isles, His Eminence Nektarios, attended a 5-on-5 youth football tournament over the weekend on the Ionian island of Corfu.
The tournament served as a venue for the collection of donations for the Metropolis’ charitable food pantry.
His Eminence Nektarios thanked local businessman Evangelos Karpatselis for his initiative to organize the event and addressed the young athletes, calling on them to have faith in Christ and to invoke Him in their lives.
