The Metropolitan of Volokolamsk, His Eminence Anthony, who is the Russian Church’s chairman of the department of external ecclesiastical relations, this week received the Georgian Orthodox Church’s Metropolitan of Akhalkalaki, Kumurdo & Kars, His Eminence Nikoloz, who is responsible for the Georgian Orthodox parishes of South America, in Moscow.
Both sides discussed relations between the fraternal Russian and Georgian Orthodox Churches.
His Eminence Metropolitan Nikoloz arrived in the Russian capital to participate in the 20th scientific symposium entitled “Russia, Georgia: Spiritual and Cultural Ties,” which commenced on Wednesday at the Andrei Rublev Museum.
