The Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, His Holiness Kirill, bestowed ecclesiastical awards to professors and lecturers at the Moscow theology academy – after a Divine Liturgy at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity Lavra of St. Sergius.
Metropolitan Onufriy, the head of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate, was on hand for the ceremony, with His Holiness Kirill later welcoming and addressing the Metropolitan as a “… example of wisdom, stability and unwavering faith in the Lord and His Church”.
