The Holy Monastery of David the Righteous, near the town of Rovies, on the northwest part of the large island of Evia, this week celebrated the feast day of its patron saint and founder.
On the eve of Tuesday’s feast day, the resident Metropolitan of Halkida, His Eminence Chrysostomos welcomed the newly elected Metropolitan of Gortynia and Megalopouli, His Eminence Nikiforos, and the Metropolitan of Fthiotida, His Eminence Simeon, who later officiated at the con-celebratory great Vesper in the afternoon.
