The Moscow Patriarchate’s Metropolitan of Volokolamsk, His Eminence Hilarion, this week underlined that the Russian Orthodox Church has no plans to create its own crypto-currency, or to accept Bitcoin donations.
His Eminence, who is also the chairman of the Moscow Patriarchate’s Department of External Church Relations, pointed out that many parishes now have own websites, through which donations can be made for charitable purposes.
