The Archdiocese of Athens and the relevant infrastructure and transports ministry will proceed with a memorandum of understanding for the study and construction of a metropolitan ecclesiastical museum, as well as the restoration of the historic building in central Athens that once housed the Holy Synod of the Church of Greece, along with the St. Andreas Chapel next to the Archdiocese.
The decision was taken after a meeting on Monday between the Archbishop of Athens and All Greece, His Beatitude Ieronymos, and the relevant minister, Costas Karamanlis.
