Particularly moving scenes were recorded in the northern Greece city of Thessaloniki, which this past week welcomed the Holy Relic of St. John Chrysostom and a wonder-working icon of the saint.
On Friday, the Elder Archimandrite Ephraim, the Abbot of the Holy and Great Monastery of Vatopedi, read out the blessing and sanctification of St. John. A reliquary containing the Holy Relic was then conveyed in a procession to the Theogenio Hospital in the city.
