More disturbing reports surfaced this week of attacks against former Muslims who converted to Christianity in the east African country of Uganda.
The reports come as the Metropolitan of Kampala and All Uganda, His Eminence Jonas, this week announced the creation of a second Orthodox diocese in the country.
One convert to Orthodox Christianity was quoted in local media as saying Muslim extremists in eastern Uganda burned his house down, warning that if he did not renounce his faith he would face an even harsher punishment.
The 35-year-old man was baptized in the Christian faith last October, and has since received numerous death threats.
According to a local paper, the Morning Star News, the man and his family have lived with neighbors since his home was burned down.
