Today, 14 September, the Orthodox Church joyfully celebrates the Exaltation of the Precious and Life-Giving Cross of our Lord Jesus Christ.
In his message for this sacred feast, His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Kenya and Exarch of East Africa reminds us that the Cross is not merely a symbol of suffering, but a sign of victory, a source of hope, and a reminder of God’s endless love for humanity.
The Cross calls each of us to carry our own struggles with faith, patience and love, trusting that through Christ, our trials can become opportunities for spiritual growth and eternal life.
May the grace of the Holy Cross strengthen our faith, renew our hearts and give us courage to follow Christ in all that we do.
