The new Archbishop of America, His Eminence Elpidoforos, was quoted in an interview with the Athens daily “Ethnos” this week as referring to his blessed offering to the Monastery of St. David, in northeast Evia island.
He also referred to the very signifcant impact that modern St. Iakovos Tsalikis played in his life.
The Elder Iakovos served as the Abbot of the St. David Monastery until he reposed in November 1991, on the Feast of the Entrance of the Mother of God into the Temple.
His his comments, his Eminence Elpidoforos said he still feels the presence of St. Iakovos Tsalikis.
