The new Archbishop of Australia, His Eminence Makarios, this week received a delegation of noted Cypriot-Australians and Cypriot diplomats at the Archdiocese’s seat in Sydney.
The delegation included Cyprus’ ambassador to Australia, Martha Mavromamati, the Deputy Head of Mission Vakis Zisimos, and the President of the Cyprus Federation of Australia and New Zealand, Michalis Christodoulou, among others.
Discussions revolved around issues of mutual interest, especially in boosting already warm ties between Australia and the east Mediterranean island republic.
