The Metropolitan of Syros, His Eminence Dorotheos II, on Wednesday officiated at the opening of a new chapel on the island of Mykonos dedicated to St. Spyridonas and Nicodemus the Righteous of Mount Athos.
The chapel was built in the Kalafatis site of the Cyclades Island, a donation of the Papaioannou family.
Several Mount Athos Elders attended the church opening service.
