A grand opening dedication ceremony (thyranoixia) of the St. Bartholomew the Apostle Parish in Reykjavik, Iceland was held last Sunday, with the archieratical Divine Liturgy co-celebrated by the Metropolitan of Sweden and All Scandinavia, Exarch of the Northern Lands, His Eminence Cleopas.
The Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople, His All Holiness Bartholomew I, who visited Iceland in 2017 after an official invitation by the island country’s president, offered his blessing for the thyranoixia.
His Eminence Cleopas was accompanied by Archimandrite Alexandros Loukatos, the parish priest for the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Metropolitan Church in Oslo, Norway.
