A week after the consecration of the iconography of the National Cathedral, more than 230,000 faithful have venerated in the Holy Altar. The place of worship remains open day and night until Wednesday, November 5.

In the Holy Altar were placed for veneration the relics of Saint Andrew the Apostle, the Protector of Romania and of the National Cathedral, and of Saint Demetrius the New.

Volunteer teams from the Archdiocese of Bucharest are offering support to those who are coming to venerate.

The Archdiocese of Bucharest is providing the faithful with a link to follow the waiting time and the position of the pilgrims’ queue in real time, with the information continuously updated.

At present, the waiting time is approximately five hours.

The iconography of the National Cathedral was consecrated on Sunday, October 26, by His Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew I and His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel.
