Pan-Orthodox con’f of sanctioned Orthodox Churches and Holy Metropolises tasked with facing heresies and cults concluded

The 32nd pan-Orthodox conference of sanctioned Orthodox Churches and Holy Metropolises tasked with facing heresies and cults, concluded on Thursday. A text of conclusions issued at the end of the conference.

Sessions commenced on Tuesday in the southwest Greek city of Pyrgos, in the Peloponnese, following a decision by the Holy Synod of the Autocephalous Orthodox Church of Greece. The conference was held under the auspices of the Archbishop of Athens and All Greece, His Beatitude Ieronymos, and hosted by the Holy Metropolis of Ilia.

The Metropolitan of Piraeus, His Eminence Seraphim, was the chairman of the conference.

At the conclusion, the Elder Metropolitan of Ilia, His Eminence Germanos, officiated at a doxology service at the Metropolitan Cathedral of St. Nicholas of Pyrgos, on the occasion of today’s feast day of St. Artemios, the patron saint of Greek Police.

His Eminence Seraphim spoke exclusively to Pemptousia television on the holding of the pan-Orthodox conference and how the Orthodox Church confronts and challenges heresies and cults.

His Eminence also thanked the St. Maximus the Greek Institute for the latter’s contributions to Orthodoxy.
