Theodoros Nikolaou, a professor emeritus and founder of the Orthodox theology faculty at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich passed away this week.
Prof. Nikolaou was served for many years as a lecturer of ecclesiastical history and patristic studies at the specific university, and was also the chairman of the specific department.
He was honored by the Academy of Athens, the German federal government and the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople for his academic and research work and his contributions to Orthodox theology.
