The Metropolitan of Sweden & All Scandinavia, His Eminence Cleopas, over the weekend concluded his sixth pastoral tour of Iceland, on the occasion of the feast day of St. Bartholomew the Apostle, the curator and patron saint of the Orthodox parish in Reykjavik.
The latter was founded in April 2019, following the Patriarchal visit of Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew in October 2017.
The Metropolitan, accompanied by Archimandrite Alexandros Loukatos, head of the Metropolitan Cathedral of the Annunciation in Oslo, arrived in Reykjavik on Friday, where they were welcomed by the honorary consul of Greece in Iceland, Rafn Alexander Sigurdsson.
