His Beatitude Patriarch John X received a phone call from Greek President Katerina Sakellaropoulou. She conveyed her sincere condolences and those of the Greek people to the Church of Antioch for the victims of the devastating earthquake. His Beatitude Patriarch John X thanked the President for Greece’s standing by the Church of Antioch amidst these difficult circumstances, stressing the depth of the relations between the Church of Antioch and Greece, both the government and the people.
His Beatitude also received a letter of condolence from Hungarian President Katalin Novak, in which she expressed her deep sorrow and condolences on behalf of the entire Hungarian people for the victims, praying for the healing for the wounded.
