The Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa, His Divine Beatitude Theodoros II, referred to the significant role played by Egypt, Greece and Cyprus in consolidating and preserving peace and stability in the southeast Mediterranean, addressing worshippers during a Divine Liturgy at the Monastery of St. Savvas the Sanctified, in Alexandria.
“Our Greece, our Cyprus, our Egypt, these three blessed countries, are the comfort and hope for all of the Mediterranean. Know that all of us who remained in Alexandria serve as guardians of the gate,” Theodoros said in his sermon, referring to Thermopylae.
