The visiting Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa, His Beatitude Theodoros II, on Sunday officiated at the Patriarchal Divine Liturgy at the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New York City, a service that sealed the apostolic and historic visit to America by the Primate of the Alexandria Church.
The Archbishop of America, His Eminence Elpidophoros, co-officiated at the service.
On Saturday, His Beatitude received the Athinagoras Human Rights Award, the highest distinction of the Order of the Apostle Andrew of the Ecumenical Patriarchate.
