In addressing the congregation, the Patriarch of Alexandria noted that “we do not enclose Orthodoxy in beautiful shrines. We preach this Orthodoxy to the very ends of the African continent.”
On his part, the Patriarch of All Romania, His Beatitude Daniel, stressed that “we clearly see that the true faith opens the gates of the kingdom of Heaven,” speaking on the Sunday of Orthodoxy from the main Orthodox cathedral of Bucharest a day earlier.
