The Archbishop of Athens and All Greece, His Beatitude Ieronymos, will travel to Lebanon on Tuesday, where he will accompany the delivery of humanitarian aid collected by the Church of Greece for quake-stricken residents of northwest Syria.
His Beatitude will be received by the Patriarch of Antioch and All the East, His Beatitude John X, who will receive the humanitarian aid on behalf of the venerable Patriarchate.
The Church of Greece had immediately expressed its fraternal solidarity towards the Patriarchate of Antioch in the wake of the devastating earthquake that struck southeast Turkey and northwest Syria on Feb. 6.
