Patriarch of Jerusalem Theophilos III issues Patriarchal message for coming great feast day of Christmas

The Patriarch of Jerusalem, His Beatitude Theophilos III, issued a Patriarchal message for the coming great feast day of Christmas, noting, among others, that “…God came to earth to raise man to heaven. God in Christ assumed our human nature. He assumed man and made him unmistakably a sharer of His Divinity, a communicant of divine nature”.
