The Patriarch of Jerusalem, His Beatitude Theophilos III, on the Wednesday of Bright Week, received representatives of the Churches of the Holy City at the Patriarchate, on the occasion of this month’s Great and Holy Easter.
The first group to visit the Patriarchate was comprised of Franciscan monks, under their Abbot, Fr Francesco Patton, whom His Beatitude addressed in heartfelt and fraternal terms, noting that “…we welcome you warmly to our Patriarchate and we thank you for your thoughtful and heartfelt Paschal greetings.”
In His statements, the Patriarch of Jerusalem also underlined that “…It is incumbent upon us, who have built such an effective partnership, to continue to do our best to encourage the other members of the Christian family here to be drawn into our cooperation. For our best future depends on our deepening cooperation and our clear united witness.”
