Patriarch of Serbia Porfirije preaches the Gospel at Cathedral of the Transformation of the Savior in Belgrade

The Patriarch of Serbia, His Holiness Porfirije, preached the Gospel on Sunday at the Holy Cathedral of the Transformation of the Savior, in Belgrade, after officiating at the Divine Liturgy during a service attended by numerous faithful.
In a sermon after a reading of the Holy Scriptures, His Holiness emphasized the importance of leading a Christian life, which itself means service towards one’s fellow man, rather than a struggle for honors and first places.
