The Patriarch of Serbia, His Holiness Irinej, this week referred to the near-completion Metropolitan Cathedral of St. Sava, in Belgrade.
The Primate of the Serbian Orthodox Church, in particular, emphasized the contribution of Russian experts and craftsmen in the cathedral’s construction, stressing that without their assistance the iconic church would not have been completed in even 100 years.
