Pemptousia TV on Saturday, beginning at 16.00 Athens time (14.00 GMT), will live-stream the procession, delivery and welcoming of an exact replica of the wonder-working Icon of the Panaghia of Bethlehem (Bethlemhemitissa) to the Metochion (ecclesiastical glebe) of the Holy Sepulcher in the Plaka district, beneath the north slope of the Athens Acropolis.
The online platform will also live-stream the subsequent Vespers at the Cathedral of the Holy Unmercenaries (Aghii Anargyrii) and an invocation to the Panaghia Bethlemhemitissa.
The Byzantine music choir “Tropos” will perform the chants.
An exact replica of the miraculous icon was created at the Holy Monastery of Damastas.
The Icon of the Panaghia of Bethlehem is venerated at the catholicos (main sanctuary) of the Cathedral of the Nativity in Bethlehem, near the entrance to the Holy Cave.
