A message to support for all efforts to force the Turkish state to allow the reopening of the Ecumenical Patriarchate’s Halki School of Theology was clearly conveyed this month from the 86th Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF), where a photographic exhibition focusing on the seminary was held.
The exhibition was entitled “The Theology School of Halki: A Closed Beacon of Spirituality.
The venerable seminary, ordered closed by the Turkish state in 1971, was represented by one of its graduates, the Metropolitan of Vryoula, His Eminence Panteleimon.
The exhibition displays the seminary’s historical premises, priceless ecclesiastical relics and rare books, as well as portraits of personalities associated with the school.
