A group of pilgrims from the Vatopedi Metochion of Saint Andrew in Galata, in Constantinople, visited Mount Athos, accompanied by the priests of the Church. They were hosted at the Holy Monastery of Vatopedi, where Abbot Ephraim warmly welcomed them with heartfelt words, spiritual admonitions and blessings.

They visited the Protos of the Holy Administration and paid homage to the famous Church of Protaton, Monasteries and cells. They also had the opportunity, at the Monastery of Iviron, to speak with the Former Abbot Vasilios Gontikakis. The Grand Preacher Fr. Panaretos conveyed to everyone the blessing of His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew and Bishop of Mount Athos and on their part everyone asked him to convey their respects to His All-Holiness.

Returning to Constantinople, they made a stop in Polygyros, Chalkidiki, to receive the blessing of Elder Agathangelos and then paid homage to the tomb of Saint Paisios in Souroti where they received a warm welcome and hospitality from the nuns of the monastery.

Finally, they returned to the City of Cities full of spiritual experiences.

The Vatopedi Metochion thanks everyone who helped in the successful outcome of this pilgrimage, especially the Greek Consulate in Constantinople and the Consul Mr. Theophilos Georgakis for their full support in the work of the parish.
