Members of an association of Pontian Greek youth from central Athens, known as the “Black Sea Association”, this week put on a brief dance performance atop the Great Wall of China, in honor of the 100-year anniversary of the Pontian Genocide.
Members of the group travelled to far-off China to participate in events commemorating the 20 year-anniversary of the foundation of the Chinese-American university SIAS, in the city of Henan.
According to the association’s president, Rania Chrysohoidou, it was “… our own memorial to the 353,000 victims of the genocide.”
