The Metropolitan of Mani, His Eminence Chrysostomos, on Sunday officiated at the Divine Liturgy held at the Chapel of the Transformation of the Savior, in the extreme southern Greece village of Kafiona, followed by a prayer service for the repose of the soul of Fr. Loukas, a monk of the Holy & Great Monastery of Vatopedi.
Fr. Loukas, born Panagiotis Dimakakos, was a professor of vascular surgery at the University of Athens before taking up his monastic vows.
Following the memorial service, a book by the reposed father was presented.
