Reactions continued this week to yet another effort to dispute the miracle of the Holy Light at the Church of the Sepulcher in Jerusalem. The Holy Light emerges during the vesper Divine Liturgy of Holy and Great Saturday, near midnight preceding Easter Sunday.
The latest disrespectful reference comes in a book released by a Greek author amid the current Great Lent, and is viewed as a negative distraction by members of the Brotherhood of the Holy Sepulcher, the Greek Orthodox monastic fraternity guarding the Church of the Holy Sepulchre and other Christian holy places in the Holy Land.
An interview, in Greek, by Father Theodoulos, a monk of the Brotherhood, is posted today by the Orthodoxia news agency.
