The clergy and faithful in the southwest Greece prefecture of Ilia today bid a final farewell to reposed Elder Metropolitan Germanos, the shepherd of the specific Metropolis of Ilia, in the Peloponnese province, for 41 years, until his retirement last August.
The body of the beloved hierarch lay in state at the Metropolitan Cathedral of St. Nicholas in the city of Pyrgos since Wednesday, with hundreds of worshippers paying their last respects.
