Researchers from the Leventis Foundation on Cyprus, the imposing Alexandria Library and National Bank of Greece’s Cultural Foundation met this week at the Patriarchate of Alexandria to discuss an ambitious plan to preserve and restore some 100 priceless manuscripts, many created hundreds of years ago.
The meeting was chaired by the Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa, His Most Divine Beatitude Theodoros II.
The Patriarch, in fact, inspected the restoration and preservation works on the manuscripts, thanking all of the parties involved for their expert efforts to maintain what he called a cultural treasure.
