Nearly 180 Roma pupils in the Pata Rat settlement were recently supplied with rucksacks, school supplies and religious textbooks – part of efforts by the local Romanian Orthodox Church to keep children at risk in classes.
The materials were collected and allocated as part of an initiative by the Orthodox Metropolis of Cluj and its Metropolitan, His Eminence Andrei, in cooperation with the group “Orthodox Charity” in Cluj and the International Orthodox Christian Charities.
