Russian Orthodox Patriarchate’s head of external church relations received by Archbishop Ieronymos

The Archbishop of Athens and All Greece, Ieronymos, on Wednesday received visiting Russian Orthodox Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, the head of the Moscow Patriarchate’s department for external church relations (DECR). His Eminence Hilarion conveyed the best wishes of Russian Patriarch, His Holiness Kirill, to the Primate of the Church of Greece.

Hilarion is on an official tour of Greece, aimed in part, to brief Greek Orthodox hierarchs over the Patriarchate of Moscow’s position on the issue of Autocephaly for the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
