The Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, His Holiness Kirill, this week continued his visit to France, and specifically to the city of Strasbourg.
While in the capital of the Alsace region, the Russian Patriarch expressed a hope, as he said, that Europe will turn a page on any misunderstanding with Russia, thereby allowing the country to assume its rightful place in the Strasbourg-based Council of Europe.
His comments came after a meeting with Council of Europe secretary general Thorbjørn Jagland.
