The Russian Orthodox Church’s Holy Synod convened on Thursday under the chairmanship of the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, His Beatitude Kirill.
In his comments, the Russian Patriarch noted that “… It is not enough to only speak of the past. It is significant to examine how capable modern man is at performing good deeds, and what the Church’s position is in cultivating people’s moral, spiritual and patriotic sentiments… We must protect our homeland without lamenting our lives.”
