Serbian minister: Montenegro draft law a ‘hostile action’ against Serbs, Serbia and Serbian Orthodox Church

Reactions against a draft bill tabled by the Montenegro government continued unabated this week, as the Serbian Orthodox Church charged that the legislation aims to facilitate the confiscation of Church properties in the small western Balkans country.
The Serbian government has also loudly criticized the plan, with Serbian minister Nenand Popovic on Wednesday referring to a looming crime by the Montenegro state. Popovic also warned of a robust reaction on the part of Serbia if the law is passed, saying the initiative was a “… hostile action” against Serbs, the Serbian State and the Serbian Orthodox Church.
